This was a joke answer. A CAT scanner is a very specialist kind of X-ray machine which forms a three-dimensional image of the body.
There are very few Veterinary CAT scanners in the UK (one of which is at Glasgow University Small Animal Hospital).
A single scan costs several hundred pounds and is reserved for specialist cases.
