At Blackness, we do offer the facility for a vet to visit your animal at home but we do like to restrict this to situations where a house-call is essential.

Obviously, if a vet has to come to your animal at home, there is a physical limit to how much specialist equipment can be brought along; the surgery is fully equipped at all times, however, and it is usually more rewarding to bring your pet into us with an appointment.

House calls are understandably more expensive to you, the client, than a consultation in the surgery because of the amount of the vet's time they take up and, often, the requirement for an accompanying member of the nursing staff. If the cost concerns you, there will be an opportunity to ask about fees when you make your appointment over the phone.
